Fall Prevention and Fall Arrest

The technology of personal safety equipment and fall arrest systems has evolved rapidly in the last few years. The design standards (e.g. CSA Z259 series) have progressed in advance of some provincial labour regulations. It may not be enough to simply specify a fall arrest “anchor” on a building; the designer may have to be more specific about the nature of the intended use and the fall arrest system to be employed.

Paul Ransom Engineering designs safety structures for construction (temporary) and industrial (permanent) applications. The specification is as important as the implementation.
