Multi-unit Townhouse Renovation

The Project

Significant renovation of multi-unit townhouse structure and envelope. Fascia brick, uninsulated masonry block and wood structure were deteriorated due to long term moisture effects and insect attack.

Our response

A top-to-bottom renovation with cold-form steel exterior structural wall and mixed steel/wood interior. EIFS envelope was designed by a partnering consultant. Cost saving measures included integrating light-steel framing with undamaged wood framing that was left in place.

Summary

The housing was upgraded to state of the art energy efficiency and robust steel framing to last for several more decades.
